I thought it would be good to make a personal comment of the grace and power of God this month. The vision for what today has become Eternal Vision, Inc. was given to me just over 15 months ago. Those early days of thought formulation were very exciting. The proving process we went through was quite encouraging.

The organization stage brought with it a significant burden and responsibility. And now we are doing the work. Every day seems to bring a new blessing, and a new opportunity. It has become quite obvious that we have “struck a nerve,” so to speak. The requests for help from the ministry side are coming faster than we can respond to them. The question, “Will pastors want you to do this in their ministry?” has been thoroughly answered. It is overwhelmingly, “Yes!”

The personal ministry to individuals has now started and we are seeing the response we hoped for. Actually, more than we hoped for! Our understanding of the needs that ministries have and the needs that individuals have has grown significantly. The people that God is bringing to serve on the staff of Eternal Vision, Inc. are “just the right ones” for the work we are doing. God’s grace (enablement) and power are incredible. He is the one doing this work, and that becomes more apparent every day! For this we say, Thank you Lord! Praise the name of Jesus Christ, our wonderful Saviour!

  We continue to receive inquiries from Churches with Christian Schools. Just this week we have been contacted by schools from Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Indiana.
• We have started ministering personally to individuals and couples who have heard of our ministry. We are currently in the process of helping folks consider ministry gifting in excess of $2.5 million. Our process is obviously attractive and will be very effective.
  
  • TESTIMONIAL: While we want to maintain confidentiality, I would like to share the effect of one plan we recently presented. An elderly couple with an estate worth approximately $850,000 asked us to help them. In the end they were able to secure their own financial needs for life, and in the process we were able to increase annual income by nearly $20,000. They fully funded the amount they determined to pass along to their children. And we are preparing the documents that will provide nearly $160,000 gift to their church, and fund endowments worth nearly $500,000 for their Christian school, their favorite Bible College, favorite Christian radio station, favorite Christian camp and one other organization. Our plan also eliminated all estate tax, capital gains tax, and likely, all income taxes for the rest of their life. They stated how this would give them great peace of mind because the decisions were made and the work was done. This is a prime example of why Eternal Vision, Inc. was started!
• We continue to make progress on the establishment of our Board of Directors and our Educational Advisory Committee.
  
• Please pray for us. The following are some specific areas of need.
  
  • Wisdom for the many decisions we face about opportunities that have come our direction.
    
  • Provision for our new staff members as they complete the transition to Eternal Vision.
  • We need to raise funds for each of the next two years to facilitate our start-up and move us toward a self-sustaining status. An amount twice that much would be well used!
  • Pray for those with whom we have shared our financial need, and for some upcoming meetings.
  • Pray for those considering positions on our Board of Directors and Educational Advisory Committee.
  • Pray for the Leadership Meetings with ministries that have invited us to begin our ministry to them.
